 Since 1987, 20 GRIT has been creating great original rock in a spectrum ranging from gripping ballads to hard-driving rock anthems. The band has played well-known venues such as The Last Day Saloon in Santa Rosa, Burbon Street in Concord, Spanky's in Cotati, Pine Street Bar and Grill in Livermore, St James' Gate in Belmont, The Aptos Club in Aptos, and many others throughout northern California. 20 GRIT uses a blend of contagious rhythms, melodic grooves, primal hooks and gritty vocals. The sound is a mix of Ozzy Osbourne, Alice in Chains, Godsmack, and Soundgarden. At Soundclick.com, their dozen mp3's spawned several top 10 hits. Last year, "Beyond Disorder" stayed at ..1 for over 49 days. Several tunes are being considered for major motion pictures!!! 20 GRIT also took proper care of business years ago by trademarking our name with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. Trademarking protects the name from others using the same or a similar name in the recording industry. The name was chosen nearly 20 years ago, as a result of some of the band members working in construction, and the various kinds of sandpaper that are used in that field.
