The Expendables started when they were sophomores in high school (summer of 97) playing cover songs at parties. The band kept playing and over a few years created there sound and a small fan base. After high school it was off to college were 3 of the 5 members, Kevin lemon, Raul Bianchi and Geoff Weers, left town. Adam Patterson and Cameron Hansen remained in Santa Cruz but the band seemed like it was over. Raul going to college in near by Palo A lot and Geoff in LA the band barrowed bass placers here and there to play what little gigs they had, because Kevin was in Alabama. Drunk at a party Adam Patterson asked Ryan DeMars, bass player from local punk band Branch Out, if he would like to jam with the expendables, he agreed and later joined the band completely. Using Ryans talent as a song writer the band begin to find a new sound and a continually growing fan base in Santa Cruz and stretching to College towns all over California eventually winning the Santa Cruz Battle Of The Bands. A few years later Cam Hansen decided it was time to move on and band became a 4 piece, the line up it is today. The Expendables have put out 3 albums, purchased a van now have toured though all of the western states with out a booking agent or a record label.
