 PHENETIKS is a collaboration of two of the top MC's and by far the most creative producer in Connecticut. The concept of PHENETIKS has been around since the early 90's when hip-hop was in it's purest form. The creator Deto22 spawned the idea in his earlier days as an aspiring producer. Deto22 then met the most aggresive MC this side of the east coast in the form of a half Dominican half Puerto Rican 5fooot somethin ROC1. ROC 1 is originally from Brooklyn, New York but for the past 10 years he has been living in Waterbury Connecticut. Equally as impressive and also from the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, New York comes JK1 whos title is longer than you think. His full name is JK1 the supernova. Supernova is an acronym for a larger and more eloborate being. Blessed with a sixth sense when it comes to lyrics JK1 will amaze you and sometimes lose you with his wordplay but if you listen you will always be able to find the message.JK1 now resides in Newport Richie FL. ROC1 is the non-self proclaimed king of madness. His rhymes keep you on the edge of your seat but his voice wields its own power. Deto22 is a genius when it comes to beatmaking. He has been producing for more than ten years now and can make a beat out of anything. Literally anything. The group PHENETIKS is purely hip-hop. In fact PHENETIKS is more than hip-hop its NEW AGE HIP_HOP...and they dont even make music they make dirt. They take what they have ,never borrow,never get influenced byoutside material, and absolutely never ever BITE. Deto22 hasnt listened to the radio or watched MTV or BET for at least 5 years now. I can sit here and tell you all the great things about this group but the only way to know for sure what I am telling you is true is to listen for yourself. Then we have Dj Sircumference a long time friend of the protege and University of Mass graduate. Sircumference has been spinning for 7 years now and is the trump card for PHENETIKS uniques hip-hop sound.Last but not least you have THEPROTEGE who is responsible for management/hypeman. THEPROTEGE was born and raised in Waterbury CT. It was by pure luck and social networking that he found PHENETIKS....so do like he did GET WITH THE PROGRAM! peace
