Originally set as a four piece classic rock rooted band, the Escorts; ft. Felix Sparx, Sgt. Wapps, Charlie 'In Charge' Gafkin, and James Mueller, set out with the first original music produced and composed by Felix and Sgt. Wapps. The band started playing at locals like the Hayloft Liquor Stand in Mt. Clemens, also, the Emerald Ballroom in Mt. Clemens, and smaller pubs like the Lions Club in Fraser MI. Selling about 50-60 tickets to a show, the young early band broke up due to interest differentiation. Mid 2005, Felix Sparx and The Captain set out on a mission to change popular rock music on the airwaves. They started out by contacting new guitar player J.D. Swisher to convert to the pumpin' bass. He agreed and so the foundation was set. After a couple money drops and equipment gatherings, the untitled band started to jam in the cold basement of The Captains dungeon. Felix Sparx, guitar player and song writer, began introducing his work from former band The Escorts. The early songs that were first created by Felix and The Captain come from the inspiration of a place named Woodrough. Woodrough is the soul inspiration of the music and the name of the album. Felix gets his song writing inspiration from philosophy, theories, and psychology. All of this comes about to create a hard warm rock tone with progressive sense of direction. Our aim is to flow through our music.
